Frankly, I'd like to put guardrails around all transactions (New Hire, Pending Worker, Change Assignment, Transfer, Local and Global Transfer, Promotion, and Create a Work Relationship) so there is an alert indicating back dating beyond 30 days is not allowed.
If I need to back date a true transaction, I will coordinate with IT to make sure we are not breaking other integrations on a one by one basis per transaction. If the guardrails are added, it will halt the one off misses we get with approvals and integrations.
