How does 'Long Running Task Count' work in Recurring Processes?

edited Jul 16, 2024 8:04AM in Transportation Management 13 comments

Summary:

We have a Recurring Process that 'triggers' an automatic cost distribution to many shipments and we need it to be carried out sequentially, so that the second does not start without the first finishing.

We have achieved this by configuring the Recurring Process in the following way:

  • Long Running Task Count = null
  • Batch Size = 1

The question that arises is what function the 'Long Running Task Count' parameter plays. The description in the help is confusing.

Thank you so much,
Jesus.

Update on 16-JUL-2024:

My main doubt focused on the 'Long Running Task Count' parameter, since I had never used it before.

Howdy, Stranger!
