How to update Roles using Manage Configuration Packages

Using Manage Configuration Packages, Roles can be Exported from an instance and Imported into another instance leading to creation of new roles in the destination instance.

But can it be used to export the Roles from one instance and Import into another instance leading to update of the existing role in the destination instance? Can the Manage Configuration Packages be run in UPDATE mode to force import the roles even if they exist is the destination instance. This would lead to addition of new privileges to the existing role and deletion of privileges from the existing role (in the destination instance) based on the package being imported.
