New Grade Step Rule in Seniority Dates Quick Action?

Summary:

As of 24B we are noticing a new "Grade Step" Rule dropdown option in My Client Groups>Seniority Dates Quick Action.

  1. I don't see any information on this in the 24B release feature notes - is this new with 24B?
  2. What is the purpose of this?
  3. Is there Oracle documentation that provides more information?
  4. Is it possible to hide this option?
