What is the upper limit for the number of records we can load via Viewpoint Load vs Merge Import

Summary:

We are trying to do an incremental load from an external application into EDMCS (It is a list viewpoint). The load will be around 150,000 records. We want the subscriptions to get generated for the subscribing target applications with Source consuming the 150,000 records.

Trying to understand which approach would be the best to go about it - Viewpoint Load vs Import merge. In the Admin Guide, it has been mentioned that Import Merge allows only 20k request Items. I couldn't find an upper limit for Viewpoint Load.
