Need to split the requisition when line the quantity is reduced while creating a PO

Summary:

We have a requirement where

A Requisition is created with one line having quantity 100

But while creating PO using this requisition the buyer has reduced the quantity to 50.

Now the remaining 50 is not available in the process requisition page. As per our requirement the customer would like to have that remaining quantity back in the process requisition page so that in the future they will be able to create new purchase order for the remaining quantity.

Is there any way to achieve this? Any inputs would be helpful.
