What are the optimal Storyline SCORM 1.2 reporting/tracking settings?

Summary:

We typically have two main types of assessments: compliance courses (users can retake as many times until they pass, Learn needs to report completion status and recognize a passing score) and quizzes (users can take only once, Learn needs to report completion status, score, mark LP complete for passing score and leave LP incomplete for failing score). I have a few questions within this topic:

  1. Where does (if anywhere) the success status appear in a user's profile/transcript? I've never actually seen anything resembling 'pass' or 'fail'.
  2. We use passed/incomplete for compliance courses and courses with multiple attempts. Is this the best option here? We've had instances where Learn sent out a completion message even though a user failed the requirement.
