Delete items from NIR in progress

Summary:

We are grouping multiple new items creation as part of a single NIR. As the items are progressing through NIR enrichment steps, there is business requirement that some new items will not be required and need to be removed from the NIR. Is this possible?

Current option is to go to Approval step and Approve or Reject the NIR which means all items in NIR will have the same disposition. If rejected, then restart the NIR only for items that will be required. If Approved, deactivate Items that will not be required. Item deletion might not be possible for Items created using NIR
