JWT Authentication certificate supports - what format certficate key pair

We are trying to leaverage internal tool generated key pair for JWT Authentication key for REST API Integration. Please suggest while generating key pair which server type compatabilty need to select (Example :Apahche, IIS etc.,)

we have tried with Apache version certificate and getting below error after importing pubic certificate.

Error messgae: FAW-CP-API-10059-Fusion source details not valid.
