Suspended - Payroll Eligible for Garden Leave

Hi Experts!

We have received new requirement - When employee under Garden Leaven period then "Assignment Status" should automatically changed from Active - Payroll Eligible to Suspended - Payroll Eligible. Once Garden Leave is completed then again "Assignment Status" should be automatically changed to Active Payroll Eligible.

Do we have process in place to achieve this requirement? Is that possible to add condition using "Auto Complete Rule". I would like to understand the link between Absence and Assignment page using "Auto Complete Rule"
