Impact of Changing mapped location country

The existing address is having the wrong country which got assigned to Multiple assignment and organization. Now as the system doesn't have feasibility of change country in the current main address. oracle support suggested to create the new one. can you please provide your insight on impacts of creating new one and deleting old one. where if new one is created and old new is delete what precautions to be taken and testing to be done.
