BICC Extract Schedules vs Job Schedules

Summary:
Hi,
I would like to create a pipe line between BICC and data warehouse to extract Financial Data
I wonder what the difference and use case is for one or the other.
If i understand correctly, Extract Schedule aloud to extract View Object only once, where different jobs can use same View Object

What are the advantages and disadvantages of one or the other solution?
How did you solve your data pipelines?
