Can retro changes & retro costing have the same process & accounting date as payroll calc?

We have a situation where the retroactive costing process has a process date and accounting date that is different from the payroll calculation process date and accounting date. The issue occurs when the dates are in different months. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Below is an example of the steps we take when we are processing payroll and the results from the payroll costing results.

The process date that is used to recalculate payroll for retroactive changes is the last day of the pay period. So for the pay period 5/12/24 to 5/25/24, the process date used is 5/25/24.

The process date that is used to calculate retroactive costing is also the last day of the pay period. So same as above, for pay period 5/12/24 to 5/25/24, the process date used is 5/25/24.
