Unable to delete/remove a transaction with activities

An AR Transaction is created with incorrect Balancing Segment Value, due to which, we are unable to account the transaction. While accounting, we're getting following error:
"The segment value ABC_Company in account 010.0000.12180.000.0000.000.00000.0000 isn't assigned to Ledger ABC_US_USD_PL."

And since there has been Application and Unapplication activities on this transaction, we are unable to make it 'Incomplete' and delete.
So, as of now, we have been sweeping the transaction from period to period.

Now the requirement is as following:

  1. The transaction should not be considered as an 'Open' transaction.
  2. The transaction should not be considered for any activities like Customer Balances calculation or Sub-ledger/GL accounting.
