IHT File export

Summary:

When we trying to export a file (IHT) how long does the connection take to get feedback from the endpoint before failing if it receives no feedback .
Is there a timeout limit where it fails if it does not get a response from the endpoint.

Also, Does Oracle compress the file into zipped format when the file is above a certain size? The attached file is compressed when downloaded while other smaller files are not compressed.
