Is there a way to set a default Asset Type?

Summary:

When users are entering assets, they aren't always selecting the correct Asset Type. This leads to the property records team needing to delete the asset, re enter it, then retag it. Is there a way to default the Asset Type to the type that is used for a majority of assets (i.e. Expense)?
