Issues when adding a new property to records

We are currently implementing the pre-order functionality in our e-commerce and have encountered some issues and questions that we would like to address.

With the implementation of pre-order, we need to display the availabilityDate property in our results lists. We attempted to configure this property in our catalog without success. We would like to know the correct way to make this property accessible in our front-end through the catalog. Our catalog configuration is attached here. I had to attach it as a txt file due to the file upload policy.
