Redwood - query re refreshing indexes after upgrade

Does anyone know if we should refresh the indexes after a CWB is applied to environments?

I know we should do that after an Upgrade and P2T (according to the HCM Redwood Pages with Profile Options document) - but I wasn't sure if there was any difference between a new release upgrade & a CWB being applied, and therefore I didn't need to run them after CWBs.
