Can the Cross charge options in PPM on edit task details be defaulted?

Can the cross-charge options in PPM on edit task details default so that every time a new task is created, the user does not have to update it manually? When we define Project templates, we define a default Project task with cross-charge enabled at the task level. When a project is created using this project template, the project has a default task, which is enabled for cross-charge. However, if a new task is added to this project, the cross-charge flag will not automatically be enabled. Is there any way to ensure that any new task added to this project will
