How do we programmatically differentiate Kanji, Kana names for prefecture & city in Geography(Japan)

edited Aug 6, 2024 12:08PM in Human Capital Management 1 comment

Summary:

We have a requirement to show Prefecture and City values in Japanese and send the same to payroll for location and person addresses.
The prefecture and city fields gets populated on the UI on selection of the postal code.

Each prefecture and city has 3 names; 1 primary and 2 alternate.
Both alternate names have language = Japanese.
Question is -

  1. How do we make the Japanese value appear on the UI?
  2. How do we differentiate between the 2 alternate names as both of the names have language = Japanese. We need to send the values on interface and BI reports
    Any advice?
