Is it possible to run depreciation once a year in Cloud?

in Assets 2 comments

Summary:

Our client runs depreciation once a year in the legacy system (JDE).

As they are moving to Cloud, they would like to know, if the same practice can be followed.

I believe we can close the asset period without running the depreciation. Is this the correct understanding?

The fiscal year of the Client is Oct-Sep.

If they run it once a year in Cloud in Sep, wouldn't the system perform catch up depreciation?

What are the pros and cons of following this approach in Cloud?

Please advise.
