Shipping Unit of Measure: UOM Class

edited Jun 12, 2024 7:29PM in Inventory Management 2 comments

Summary:

The base unit of measure is defined at the UOM class. So for instance, weight can be defined with LBS. In this case, any other unit such as KG will be defined in reference with the base unit.

With the above said, we assign a weight unit of measure class at the shipping parameter for each Inventory organization. The base unit of measure is then defaulting onto the shipment lines with no option to modify. This is a major issue when we use the same UoM class across organizations, where US can use LBS while India might use KG.

Howdy, Stranger!
