Material status reservations

Hi Team,

So we have enable material status as show in below screenshot.

If we have to change the material status of a locator or lot, reservations must be cleared.  This means back ordering or changing the locator/lot combination.  Is there a way to have the material status change happen without changing the reservations?

This will help us react to potential holds quicker without having to through all of the reservations for a target item.
