Requirement to change our fiscal year start period.

Summary: We would like to Reset the First month of Fiscal year. As per Oracle documentation after you create an application, you cannot change or enable the month options. Is there any work around as many clients would have such requirement to reset the Fiscal year start period. Thank you.
