How elearning Items Work?

Hello,

Have anyone used elearning items before? or know what are the elearning items in Oracle?

We would like to understand how elearning items in learning catalog works, as we can't seem to find clear definition or how it works in Oracle document, oracle support or existing customer connect posts?

How is it different from other learning content (like video, scorm files,web link…etc.) load via content under catalog resource?
