EPM Pipeline job sequence executing before prior job completes

Summary

We are seeing in some instances that the within a Pipeline "integration" that jobs which run long will have the next job in the stage execute (and parallel is not set at the stage level). Is there a "timeout" setting for Pipeline that can keep this from occurring? Is there a maximum number of jobs that you would recommend running within a single stage?
