POET details are defaulted in classic UI but not in RSSP page

I  am trying to create a requisition where in i am entering project details. Based on the setups, when the project number is entered the other fields like task, expenditure type, date, organization, funding source and contract number has to be auto populated. This is working as expected in the classic UI page but not in the RSSP page. In the RSSP page, the defaults are not working. Please help. I have attached the screenshots for your reference from both the UIs.
