Any way to link a released planned order to it's associated Demand

Requirement : Sales Order and it's associated supply orders should be associated with same serial number.

Question : Example: Sales Order demand of Item AB created Planned Order recommendation for ItemB(BUY), once we release this planned order recommendation, we get the Purchase Order for ItemB. Is there a way to trace back to the Sales Order demand of Item AB from this Purchase Order?

Any helpful pointers to handle the above scenario?
