How to have 2 different cost for a single item within single cost Org.

in Costing 5 comments

Hi Team,

We have a below business requirement.

We have one inventory org (Service Hub) where all the repair and maintenance work would be performed.
Below are 2 types of transactions that would be performed

  1. Repair of the customer return tool
  2. Replacement of the customer tool

For repair of customer tool, we receive the tool into expense sub inventory at zero price through RMA. We need to have zero Cost for the is item.(This is a Customer tool and we do not wish to maintain inventory in our books). We do not want any accounting for RMA transactions.

Similarly, after the tool is repaired, we will ship it to the customer at zero Price. For this transaction also we wish to have zero cost. We do not want any accounting for this transactions.

Howdy, Stranger!
