HsGetValue SmartView function not working with Freeform cube

Summary:

We have created a SmartView private connection to a Freeform cube. We are trying to retrieve data using HsGetValue.

On refresh we get error "Planning Provider Error". Is HsGetValue not supported in Freeform cubes? Is there some setting we need to enable?
