The EPM Center of Excellence and the RACI model
While adopting the cloud, as with any change, organizations gather knowledge and best practices. If this information is accumulated in one area, it can benefit all of the teams, departments, and entities. For example, at Oracle, we use the global process owners, or GPO, to drive the EPM CoE.
But the responsibilities of an EPM CoE do not stop at just best practices or training. They extend to eliminating manual processes, leveraging out-of-the-box scheduling and integration capabilities, and automating searches for insights.
What exactly are the responsibilities of an EPM CoE? Who is accountable for what? And who needs to be consulted and informed? To clarify this, a RACI model lists four key areas, responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed. To answer these questions and give us some examples are two experts, both with extensive experience in centers of excellence and EPM:
