Co-browse Advanced Mode on Macs

It appears that CoBrowse Advanced Mode does not work smoothly with Mac OS X. It requires Java and nowadays it's disabled by default. This impacts the customer experience as well as agent productivity. CoBrowse should launch seamlessly and requires little or no effort from the customer to initialize. Is there a workaround this issue? I've seen other screensharing applications such as Zoom and TeamViewer. Both allows customers to launch the app with no hassle. CoBrowse should be able to do the same and move away completely from Java.
