Reference Variables not getting Committed

Summary:

Hi,

In our Reference workbook, we have used multiple Reference Variables. I am able to reference the content to the Variable.

After assigning the value from excel sheet to variable its displaying as "Not Committed"

Upload and Check In is not saving the references to the variable. Hence the reference used in ppt are coming as Missing.

Deleted and created the variables again, same result.

Attached screenshot, what is missing in this scenario?
