Inverse conversion rate for Interclass conversion - to make it work.

edited Jul 15, 2024 12:05PM in Inventory Management 1 comment

Summary:

in above example, Item ****-6500 Primary UOM = Each

In the work definitions, we consume mm and hence interclass conversions are defined.

But in the Interclass conversion UI,

the From Base UOM is in MM to Base UOM = Each.

Question:

Why do we have to inverse the entry(it should be Each to MM) but it allows to enter from mm to Each and the conversion rate is inversed for Interclass to make it work correctly? For Intraclass Conversion its straight forward conversionRate. Whats the reason for this inverse and its confusing for BAU users
