Need to trigger the Custom Resource alert to learner on the same assignment due date.

When the learner reached his assignment due date, on the same due date we want the learner to be notified with the custom Resource alert.
——-Is there any expression which i can use for this?I tried with the below expressions and it didn't worked for me,
- ${assignmentDueDate} = sysdate
- ${assignmentDueDate} BETWEEN sysdate-1 AND sysdate
