Is it possible to update probation period logic ?

Hello,

 Our client is using position synchronization and the probation period is defined in position.

However for all positions system is talking 6 months as probation by default , while there are cases where probation value is 30 days or 45 days as well.

 How do we customize this request?

Can someone help me in understanding the end to end process here ?
