OIC Notification Activity Fails but Instance Run Status is Succeeded

Summary:

***SCENARIO: Explicitly set the To-recipients with one invalid email to forcedly error the Notification activity in OIC. No Scope nor Global Fault handling activities setup: the expectation is it would go straight as global fault and fail the instance run.

***RESULT: OIC’s Notification Activity when in error won’t fall to fault handling (scope nor global) and would still show as ‘Succeeded’ instance run. This has been the known behavior since Gen2 and quiet concerning that this is still the same with Gen3.

Given this behavior: has anybody gone through with this and can advise ways to manage fault handling? (if there's any at all)
