Import worker number from legacy system then start incrementing it (one sequence per legal entity)

Summary:

Client would like to import his current employee numbers in worker number and not (person number). Please be reminded that we are talking about worker number and not person number. However, after the data import of historical data from the legacy system; so after go live they would like the worker number to start getting incremented sequentially (one sequence per legal entity).

We started by choosing manual worker-number generation for the legal employer. Then we imported data from legacy system by copying the current employee number in worker numbers. Then we tried to switch from manual worker-number generation for a legal employer to automatic worker-number generation for a legal employer; however, the system forbade us from doing so.
