Is it possible to send alert when absence reason is selected?

Summary: Hi! Wondering if it's possible to have an alert sent to a specific HR person/user when a specific absence reason is selected? Example, employee logs in under about me and then absences and they select their absence type and then that type requires a reason. From there if they select a specific reason then it then sends an alert to that HR person/user either email or under the worklist; I just need something to alert them. Is this possible?
