HDL adjustment overrides existing Manual adjustment with same effective date

Hello - We are encountering an issue when adjusting the hours of an employee using the HDL syntax/template provided by Oracle (Oracle docs). The HDL adjustment is overriding it instead of adding it as another adjustment.

Given this issue, would someone know and suggest what the best practice is to adjust via HDL without overriding any existing manual adjustments with the same effective date? Is it possible?
