Is it possible to increase fields or flexfields characters via VBS?

Summary:

Hi Community,

We know that Flexfields are limited to 150 characters. However, our customer needs to store more than that amount of characters on the Position Page in one specific field we created. We already have an idea for this, but we do not know if it's somehow in Oracle's roadmap.

However, we were wondering if there is not a way via VBS to create a field with more character like a CLOB for example…

If not, has anyone ever encountered an issue like this and thought of any workaround? We tried of thinking of creating several fields to store the information but if the field needs to store 1.100 characters we need 10 fields on the page just for information that is today stored in one field in PeopleSoft. It's not user friendly nor functionally efficient.
