Limit the REST API response for the POST call

Hello Team,

We are using currently using worker API and creating pending worker in the system via integration. It is giving the huge response after successful which is like around 5 to 10 pages. Client want to restrict the response to contain only intended or restricted fields in the response.
We have gone through API document and found that complete response can be avoided by using content header. however, it is not mentioned if it possible to control to show only required attributes in the response for the POST call. We need certain data from response but not all the data.
