Project driven Manufacturing and Sales Orde

Hi

We have a scenario of Project Driven SCM wherein the manufacturing will happen with project details. And the manufactured item will be shipped to customer using Sales Order with same project details at SO line. The manufacturing cost will be imported to projects. And after the sales order is shipped, the same will be imported in projects

In this case, aren't we duplicating the cost in the project ? first the Manufacturing cost and then the Sales order one (COGS). what should be the ideal practice. Any guidance or help is greatly appreciated.
