USA sick plan legal requirement

edited Jul 30, 2024 4:25PM in Workforce Management 2 comments

Hi,

We have a business requirement which is termed as a Legal requirement on how the accruals should be calculated.

Below mention is the scenario on how the accrual calculation should work

Employee is enrolled in USA state plan.

Employee has worked for 45 hours in a week for the 4/16 pay period.

Accrual calculation is 45/40 = 1.125 hrs.

We need to write 1 hr. as accrued value.

The accrual balance of 0.125 is for 5 hours worked.

So if the employee works for 8 weeks with the same 45 hours, the accrued balance of 0.125 * 8 will be 1 and only then the 1 hour should be accrued and the each week should not have the values like 1.125. The business expects the functionality to be available in the product since this is a legal requirement.

Howdy, Stranger!
