Multiple Incumbments on Position Due to Overlap Scenerio - Impact to Who Is Parent Position
Summary:
Scenario:
Position A has the initial incumbent A who is leaving the firm and now has a future termination date
Overlap is updated to Y and incumbent B is moved to position A. There are now two active incumbents on the positionPosition B required for Position A to now be the parent position.- Is the expected functionality for Incumbent B to be the line manager/parent position post sync for the incumbent in Position B due to Position A having a future termination date even though they have more tenure/longer service?
- Is this expected as well….If Position C already has Position A as parent position, their line manager would reflect Incumbent A due to incumbent with the longest tenure in the position even after sync and would require for a manual update to change the line manager on the assignment to reflect incumbent B? Is yes, is there a way for this to happen automatically?
