Data file download of >1GB using EPM REST API for Oracle ARCS

We have a requirement to extract Transaction Matching match type tables in ARCS and load it to a warehouse. The anticipated data volume is huge and downloading the extract files from ARCS has to be done using REST API. We were able to test out extraction of ~5M records (file size - 900Mb) without any problem so far. API documentation says we can download data file upto 1 GB with 1 request. Just interested to know has anyone attempted to download > 1GB data through EPM REST API. Is it possible to do beyond the limit of 1 GB through some customization ?
