setup of Un depreciation Major Fixed Asset Category

please need to create LAND as major and minor category which is not titled to be depreciated.
User ask for official documentation or instruction from oracle for the setup , as user afraid from the accounts in the setup if GL entries will be generated on it....

what the best solution or practice …
