How to increment date period for custom job set for FA

Summary:

Hi,

We are planning on scheduling a custom job set that contains four custom reports - we want to know how to test this custom job set to see if the date parameter will be incremented once the FA period is closed.

If possible - would we have to schedule the process for the beginning of each month - then wait a month to see if the period is selecting the open FA period?
