How are other overcoming the hurdles of list viewpoints (crosswalk tables)?

Summary:

Up until very recently Humana has been maintaining OCGL hierarchical structures and some small list viewpoint leveraged for mappings and crosswalks. Now EDMCS in introducing larger list viewpoints that will be leveraged by external systems for mappings/crosswalks. I have been told that EDMCS has been specifically developed for this use case but running into hurdles in trying to administer the crosswalks. Here are a few…

  1. Unless the viewpoint is hierarchical (most were built as flat/list viewpoints) you are limited on the validations/checks you can build within the viewpoint. More specifically, those validations where you need to search what is already in the table. You cannot use siblings. For example, I want a validation where There is a mapping of Account and Department to something called COID. I want to check if the Account Department combination is already in the table and if so, do the following action, etc. Currently, I cannot find a way to set up any type of
