How to view PIM's overview page infolets with the "View Only item" Custom Role

We created a custom role for read only access to items following the note below:

With the custom role, we are not able to create a new item as expected. However, the PIM's overview page appears completely blank (as you can below). How can we add the PIM's overview page infolets to the custom inquiry role? (We are using shared service license only.)
